My first article in Mabuhay Magazine
Yesterday, my friend Yvette chatted with me on Messenger, telling me she was about to go on a trip to Davao. Just a few hours later, sent me a short message which said, "Look what was in the Mabuhay Magazine on the plane!" She then sent me this photo: Mabuhay Magazine March 2019 I was so happy that she sent that photo to me, and that she said she kept the magazine so she could send it to me, as I had no idea how to get a copy of it. It was really sweet of her to do that. I can always see it online of course, but I'm old school that way. Nothing quite like feeling the paper between your fingers. My friend James asked me to write the essay for the March issue when he visited me in Madrid last Christmas. The essay was supposed to talk about some things that I've learned from traveling. The first draft was almost 2,000 words, because I included some of my favorite travel stories in it, but I eventually pared it down to 500 with much difficulty. Here's a link ...
